HKJC Secure $1Million Zoustar Colt

Tara Madgwick - Wednesday April 6

Widden Stud’s champion sire Zoustar has been super popular at the top end of the market at Inglis Easter with numerous youngsters selling for upwards of $900,000 including the most expensive filly sold on Monday and he cracked it for a seven figure sale with the colt from One More Honey.

Bred and consigned by Emirates Park, the colt is the second foal of Group II winner One More Honey and sold for an even $1million to the Hong Kong Jockey Club.

He is a half-brother to this season’s Group II placed two year-old colt Man in the Mirror, who sold for $1.8 million at Magic Millions last year and his dam is a half-sister to Group I winning sprinter Vega One.

Zoustar has had a dozen winners in Hong Kong highlighted by his Group III winner Healthy Happy.
